"Must Have" Photograph on your Wedding Day
Tuesday, December 27, 2011
The day will be here before you know it, and your photographs will be an important part of remembering your day. Make sure you have a "must have" photo list for your photographer. We thought this would be a great shot to include on that list. Your rings on top of a newspaper with your wedding date on it. Well at least it would be one way to remember your anniversary...lol.

Who Feels Like Chicken Tonight?
Monday, November 14, 2011
This recipe just looks too good not to share...thank you to "My Kitchen Apron" for posting it.
Crock Pot Buffalo Chicken
Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Ingredients
• 3 lb. bag of frozen chicken breasts
• 1 bottle Frank's Wings Buffalo Sauce
• 1 packet Ranch Dip Mix
• 2 TBSP butter
Few Easy Steps
1. Put frozen chicken, wing sauce, and ranch dip mix into crock pot.
2. Cook on low at least 6 to 7 hours
3. Using two forks, shred chicken & return to crock pot.
4. Add butter.
5. Cook on low for an additional hour.
We haven't tried this yet, but we are looking forward to it. We plan on making a blue/cream cheese spread to go on the inside of a deli roll or maybe a panini and eating that way. Of course "For Our Mom's" we will have some kind of veggie accompanying it.

Want to get your guests on the dance floor without any excuses of tired and aching feet? Incorporate a flip flop basket to be part of your reception decor.
You can buy flip flops to match your wedding colors at Old Navy, The Dollar Store or even Michaels (Arts and Craft Store)....just make sure you get them in several different sizes to accommodate your guests.
You will also want to buy a basket to put the flip flops in. Decorate it yourself or if you have the money to spend you can buy a flip flop bucket from The Macbeth Collection.
As an added touch you should create a sign to attach to the basket letting your guests know that the flip flops are for the taking. Have fun with it...but if you have any trouble thinking of something clever to say just google it, I am sure you will find something that you like.

Happy Father's Day

Father's Day
Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there, and especially my Dad. I know a lot of people say that their Dad is the greatest, but mine really is :). He has always been there for me. I remember being a kid and having him rock me in the rocking chair in the middle of the night when I was sick. Along with my Mom he came to my gymnastic meets, and he cheered me on at my basketball and soccer games. He exposed me to many different things to find out what my passion was in life. He introduced me to photography (one of his biggest passions), and I still have the penny collection that he had me start when I was 8. My Dad taught me how to ride a bicycle and drive, but most of all he always made me feel loved and cared about. I couldn't have asked for better parents, and on Father's Day I just want to say "I Love You Dad!"

Writing Your Own Vows?

If you are planning to write your own vows what would be cuter then to have them in this personalized engraved notebook?
Writing your own vows is such a sweet idea, but when the time comes to say them most people need to have them written down. Instead of having your vows on a crumpled up piece of paper or a plain old index card, how about writing them in this personalized little notebook? The Etsy shop braggingbags personalizes a 3"x4" notebook with the words vows and your initials inside a heart and arrow. It's such a great place to write down your vows for your ceremony and keep them forever. Both adorable and useful...I just love it :)

Our 1st Anniversary
Sunday, May 29, 2011
My husband and I just celebrated our first year wedding anniversary on May 8, 2011. I can't believe a year has gone by since our wedding day.....I still feel like we are newlyweds. So question to all of you blog readers......how long are you considered newlyweds?
On the morning of our anniversary I was woken up to the smell of bacon. When I went into the kitchen my husband was making pancakes...yum. We had pancakes, bacon and of course a special breakfast wouldn't be complete without mimosas. We even got to dust off the champagne flutes we used on our wedding day. I should have surprised him and came out for breakfast in my wedding dress....lol. Hey I would wear that dress every day if I could :)
After breakfast we just relaxed and my husband and I each bought each other an anniversary gift...so we got to open up presents. I stayed true to the 1st year traditional anniversary gift and I got him something to do with paper. I found a great shop on Etsy called myarttocherish who takes your pictures and edits them and then add words or poems to them. I got my husband an 11x14 picture of our first wedding dance and had her put our wedding song lyrics on it...It turned out really cute. My husband didn't follow tradition, and I didn't mind when I opened up a beautiful necklace that matched the earrings he gave me at our rehearsal dinner last year.
We had made reservations for dinner at The Capital Grill. They knew it was our anniversary and when we got seated there was a nice card stating Happy Anniversary at our table....I kind of felt like I was on my honeymoon again because they would do that kind of thing in Jamacia. The Capital Grill was great, we got complimentary champagne and free dessert. I tried not to eat to much of the dessert because I knew I had the top of our wedding cake defrosting for dessert when we got back home. When we got home we cut our cake, and we both had a piece....let me tell you it wasn't bad at all. The frosting was just as good as ever and the cake itself was not bad at all.....I really expected worse.
After dinner and after the cake cutting we opened our 1st bottle from our wine bottle guest book collection. We read all of the guests signatures, and they were really funny. You can definetly tell who signed in the beginning of the night and those who signed later after a couple of cocktails...lol. It was a nice moment and a great way to reminisce about the day and who was there. After we finished the wine bottle, I rinsed the wine bottle out and now it found its place in the wine rack in the dining room. Even though the bottle is now empty, I'll never throw those bottles out they have too much meaning. Wow now I have to wait 4 more years to open another bottle for our 5th Anniversary.
We are now selling Wine Bottle Guest Book Kits, since there was a lot of interest in them after our wedding. Please check out our shop on Etsy if you would like to have this unique guest book option at your wedding or if you have any questions.

Bunny Cake Pops
Saturday, April 23, 2011
So I wanted to get creative for Easter this year and instead of dying eggs, I thought I would make these cute little bunny cake pops I saw in a recipe book by Bakerella. I started this project at 4:30 in the afternoon.
You bake a cake, crumble it up in a bowl, add the frosting and mix it in so it is more like a cookie dough consistency. Then you mold it into the shape you need...that part took me a long long time.
Then you take the molded cake and dip it into colored melted chocolate. Here I am using white and pink. This part took me a long time too. You have to let the chocolate drip off so it looks smooth.

Once you have the cake pops covered in the chocolate, then you can start decorating them. Unfortunately for me, the molding and chocolate dipping part took me close to 5 hours. I would assume the more you do them the easier it gets. I had so much fun decorating the pops and watching the bunnies come to life :).
I bought candy eyes at the store, and I used candy corns for the ears and a jumbo candy heart for the nose. The pens I am using are edible as well :)
Here is a pic of some of the gang.
What the bunny cake pops look like close up.
I felt bad putting the pop covers over the bunnies heads, I felt like I was suffocating them.
I just like this picture, it looks like the two bunnies like each other, doesn't it? LOL
So my little project ended up taking me, and the help of my husband until 3am. But they turned out so cute I am happy I did them, and they taste really good too :).

Breakfast at Tiffany's Bridal Shower Theme

Today Breakfast at Tiffany's was on television, and I just had to stop what I was doing and watch the movie. This is one of those movies that no matter how many times you have seen it, you can watch it again and again.
To make the movie even better for me is the fact that I am a huge fan of Tiffany's jewelry. I can just imagine that if I lived in NYC I would walk past their window on fifth avenue a couple of times a week to window shop.
To make the movie even better for me is the fact that I am a huge fan of Tiffany's jewelry. I can just imagine that if I lived in NYC I would walk past their window on fifth avenue a couple of times a week to window shop.
A good friend of mine had given me my first piece of Tiffany jewelry for being a bridesmaid in her wedding 7 years ago. I still remember that day, I was so excited. She had given me the Venetian Link bracelet which she had as well. The card that came with it said that this piece of jewelry now links us together forever.
Since then I have given the same bracelet to my mom and sister, so we are all linked together. I have also purchased and received multiple Tiffany items and I just love them all.
Last year when I was planning my wedding my mother and bridesmaids had thrown me a bridal shower with the Breakfast at Tiffany's theme. It couldn't have been more perfect for me. Everything was decorated in Tiffany blue with white ribbon. My sister who was the Matron of Honor thought up all the little details from the Tiffany inspired invitations that her company Designed by M.E. Stationery created to the cake that looked like a Tiffany box. All the planning that went into my bridal shower made that day very special for me. Here are some pictures of the fabulous items that were part of my shower.
